Park and shock

Of all the places to park your car for a "rest stop":

A police patrol suspected one of the cars that was parked for a long time on Shaikh Zayed Road. The officers discovered that the couple were having sexual intercourse. Sources said they were caught in a "very intimate and private situation".

Whatever happened to the good old shady lanes of Jumeira?

This story would be so much more amusing if the couple were driving at 200kmph down the hard shoulder when discovered.

This "very long time" is actually a point of interest. It's good to know after how long the police actually comes and peeks to see inside the car.

Okay I'm off to Shaikh Zayed with a stopwatch...

Since when are Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan in "Eastern Europe?"

Is Gulf News poaching staffers from KT or what?

If they had been driving at 200 kph down the hard shoulder of Sheikh Zayed Road (presumably in a fairly erratic - rather than erotic - manner) then the police would have found nothing suspicious to investigate and there would have been no story to report.

I always wonder whats going on in the head of the reporter who added the line -Sources said they were caught in a "very intimate and private situation".
What kind of cheap yellow journalism is this?
On a lighter note, it would have been really funny if the court sentenced them to a couple of lashes in an "intimate and private situation" LOL!

Actually, I'd be more interested to know how a 20 year old Kazakh or a 19 year old Kyrgyz could afford a car in Dubai, yet not afford a hotel room.

Hrmm.. a few things come to mind. First, the car has obviously not been parked there for that long of a period. Secondly, a car can cost you 5000dhs if you like.. a night in a hotel can cost you 500dhs if you are lucky. You do the math (how many times can you go... ). Then you have to consider the possibility of it not being their car. Finally, it is practically impossible to do have anything but oral sex in a car parked on a service road on Sheikh zayed road -- well, unless they are completely CRAZY.

I have tried to persuade my wife to give me oral while driving on Duba-Al Ain road. She always refused, not because of police only, but the massive 4x4's that can look directly down on our car :)

I'll keep trying!

Oh man you lot are all crazy.
Of course it is possible to have it in the car...someon said (oral only) mans dreams i guess.

Anyway the juiciest part of the story is the bad journalism.

the moral of the story being

* when you gotta do it, you just gotta do it *

well, i think it is possible in a car, secondly a 20 year old CAN afford a car, another thing is, cars with makfee or tints are usually suspected and ppl cannot look into them unless there is some source of light around the car and also the car was probably shaking or something that caught the attention of the police patroling around.

why would the police wait there for a 'very long time' anyway.

P.S these cases arent uncommon in dubai.

Gotta agree with CG. You can definately do it in a car, and it does'nt have to be a 4wd.
A better location for all aspiring to engage in vehehicular intercourse, is the drive from Hatta to Muscat. But please leave withh all necessary paraphenalia as I do'nt see too many pharmacies on that road.
X marks the spot. :D

Backs seats of a sedan are comfortable enough. I have a Honda CRV on a big end...but there are even bigger 4x4s that intimidate us at times ;-)

First off, while given the exact same scenario with only difference participants/car (Arab/Massive 4x4) would the perspective with court change a bit?

I mean c'mon. We all have seen endless times how "SHAKY" can brand-new and tinted BMW 765i be along the Rotana Suites Hotel road, adjacent to Shaikh Zayed Road?

Or just look at the outside view of your apartment (the parking lot) in The Gardens after 10pm. A bizarre yet a common thing to notice on your way back home from jogging everyday.

Go figure!

no matter how much tint you have.. all the police has to do is flash its torch...

and yes, i agree, if it was a different car and teh participants belonged to a different nationality - the court would have done justice in a different Manner... we've seen cases where ppl are sentenced to a months jail imprisonment for rape, where as here - the participants were in the situation voluntarily - and they are sentenced to 3 months of imprisonment.

I believe that the police here are mostly concerned with "gay" activities.

I was with my girlfriend in a car parked by the beach in jumeirah, and we got inturrepted by the police.
Funny thing is they were only concerned about the sex of the people in the car.
When they were satisfied that she was a women, they let us off with a warning.

interesting , there seems to be a gay subculture forming in dubai, if the police are so worried.
