The Monica maids

A disturbing story in KT reveals that maids in Ras Al Khaimah are taking their inspiration from Monica Lewinsky when it comes to the evil weed:

"This paper has recently reported the case of two housemaids who tucked away money and cigarettes inside their sensitive parts to hide it from the police and their sponsors. In another bizarre incident, the RAK Court recently ordered the deportation of a housemaid on the charge of urinating into the food prepared for her employer and his family."

It's obviously quite a craze in Khaimah. Even more juicy details can be found in this older article:

"Besides the Filipina, two other Asian women were also examined and the search threw up 10 cigarettes each from their private parts. The two women wrapped up the cigarettes in plastic bags and tucked them away in their private parts."

Gee, Ras Al Khaimah is fast becoming the kink capital of the UAE. Camels, massage parlours, now this little gem. Coolness!

hmmm, as one who stayed in the UAE for over two years and worked in the print media i thought i had seen everything. Much of which i could not write.
Things seem to get even more bizzare as days go by.

what next.

I guess it’s one more reason why there is no Progress for UAE women. LOL. A line of black humor – don’t ax me for it. ;)

Well, people have the right to hide anything anywhere in their bodies as long as they feel comfortable with. However, the stealing bit is disturbing, and of course, no one would like to have sour salad dressings :)

Maids come here as willing slaves, and they want to go back home to their families as quick as possible to re-converge with the little left of their self-esteem.

Treat them better; or simply, SD, give them a break

I guess that's what you call really 'pissed' off. Rumour has it that as well as the pungent seasoning on the salad, the family were also extremely suspicious about the chocolate brownies that had been freshly home-cooked.

Harsha, this isn't just about urges. You'd also have to be more than a little disturbed to put a baby's hand on your "private parts". If it was just about unfulfilled urges, there wouldn't be a single unfondled child... anywhere.

Does anyone agree with me that replacing words with "sensitive parts" just makes the article seem more dirty and disturbing?

Sam, I think it will be even more disturbing if they used the C and the P-word =)

willing slaves yes...but why would anyone want to be willing slaves?

You'd have to be blind not to see that these people are feeding extended families back home and that this is the only way they know how to get the most cash to pay for junior's tuition fee, for mom's medical bills, for the house, for Johnny’s kids...

I just think it's such a luxury for some people to just throw around the word pity or disgusting or disgraceful...

don't get me wrong. I don't condone what these ladies have done. I just don't want us to forget that these ‘maids’ are people. They are mothers, sisters, cousins and daughters.

Whatever they have done…they came to this region, sacrificing their own time, effort and, yes, dignity, to support family.

PS
What’s up with “one Filipina and two other Asians?” I mean Filipina are Asians too so why not just say “three Asians?” Fine, everybody knows there is a large population of Filipino maids here but why say it like that? If they want to be specific, why not say, “Filipina, Bangladeshi and Indian???”

I'm a little curious as to how these ladies are "caught" hiding items in their "private parts". What would one say: "Spread 'Em", or "Hey, what do you have in there?", or "Hey, where did you get that cigarette?" or "Hey, do you have anything in your coochy?...we need to check just to be sure".
Am I allowed to say "c**chy" or should I edit that?
