A sensitive and private matter
Does anyone know what the difference is between "private parts" and "sensitive parts"?
Abu Dhabi: A man who squeezed the private parts of an undercover CID officer thinking he was going to attack him has been jailed for six months followed by deportation.
ABU DHABI — The Supreme Federal Court has upheld the verdict of the Sharjah Shariah Court of Appeal sentencing a man to three months in jail for touching the sensitive parts of another man.
Is there any reason they can't simply be called genitals?

Come on guys.
This is Dubai. We have to respect their social, cultural and religious values.
Therefore we should refer to the nether regions as "sensitive" and/or "private" (except in the case of the flashers who make their privates very public).
I can just imagine the spittle flying in the culture and information ministries if the word genitals ever appeared on the front page of Crappy Times.
Well, 'genitals' would be too offensive, now, wouldn't it? And people would complain. Like they always do.
Hmm still don't see why everybody here is so bothered with their choice of words?!
I guess its just another thing to complain about...
kiwi boy do you live in the UAE?
I don't think people are so much 'bothered' about it, it's just pretty funny how they go out of their way to say anything BUT the 'naughty' word.
Last time I checked most people reading newspapers were educated enough to understand the word 'genitals' and mature enough to not go over the top about it.
It'll change soon enough, just as a few years back Gulf News and the like used to write 'brown liquid' instead of alcohol, or beer.
Sometimes when making an effort to make something sound more acceptable it just sounds so much worse, for instance;
“SHARJAH — An Arab Gulf girl student of Class XII of the Sharjah-based Al Marrifah International Private School has been dismissed by the Sharjah Educational Zone for allegedly photographing herself with her video-camera inbuilt mobile in a compromising and indecent position before showing her pornographic pictures to her classmates."
I think just saying she posed nude for a camera would've been better than saying 'indecent position'.
I know that there are religious + cultural sensibilities, but this isn't exactly raw cutting stuff, I think if you get offended by the single word, genitalia, you'd be better off not reading any newspaper.
