Cannibalism in Al Ain
What makes this story shocking is that happened in lovely, leafy, tranquil Al Ain:
AL AIN: In an horrific act of violence, a Pakistani national hacked his Indian colleague to death with an axe and ate part of his heart at an Al Ain farm, it was reported yesterday. The 35-year old accused is said to have confessed to the murder and claimed he did it because the Indian insulted and abused him. The colleagues who had a previously good relationship got into an argument at work. The accused claims that in a fit of rage he picked up a rock and smashed it over his victim’s head. He then chased the man down the farm with an axe and struck his chest and abdomen. He then lost his senses and went on to eat part of the victim’s heart, it is claimed.
In perma-gridlocked Dubai or repressive Sharjah one could quite understand a person being driven insane (or hungry) enough to the point of eating human organs, but in Al Ain? With all its date palms, camels and a lovely oasis?
Inexplicable.

I was shocked about this story too. They say that the killer was an Imam, prayer leader, for his local mosque. I am going to write about this in my next blog I think, unless I find something more interesting.

Not at all, with all the discrimination, deprivation, competition among expatriates to keep their ridiculously high paid jobs to deliver poor quality services , locals' attitude of superiority, in addition to the feeling of missing out in the fanfare going out and about in Dubai or AD, you should expect the worse.
I love the last part of this story. The guy smashes his mate over the head with a rock, chases him round the farm with an axe and chops him to death with it. Only THEN does he "lose his senses"...
I wonder if, like the labourers-eat-stray-cats story a few weeks ago, we'll have people making comments that if he was paid more he could eat proper food?
If this happened in America, wouldn't people say, The poor fellow had issues... or something.
Bangladeshi having sex with a camel last year, now pakistani involved in cannibalism....To be honest UAE seems to be a place where all deviants from the whole world are residing. In addition to thieves,mafia,money fraudalents. All in a nice cover of a so called multiculturial, boosting place.
Really shocking, but its nothing new to we Indians where we even have a religious sect who are cannibals and have right to take their share from corpse while cremating.

Thats pretty awful stuff. Apparently I am a very isolated young American due to the fact that I have no idea where and what Al Ain is. Someone care to feel me in?
I believe we shouldn't feel surprised with any thing any more now but eating his heart only for a normal argument this so hard to believe I'm sure their is some thing missing in his story you don't eat your enemy’s heart unless he did something to you that is related to your religion or your woman
