The Internet gene
Some humans are clearly born without the basic capacity to handle the internet. Witness today's email from a very senior PR person, forwarding the "Bill Gates will give you $$$ if you forward this!!" scam to half her contacts database:
"Sorry I cannot take the chance if this really is for real. It has come from a reliable source, so read on.."
The "reliable source" at the very bottom of a cyber mess of broken forwarding, unhidden group emails (worth selling to the spam harvesters??) rambling and crap turns out to be "a friend of my good friend's Aunt Patricia, who works at Intel." The original sender appears to be a "Charles Bailey" who works at CXS.com. A scathing email has now been dispatched to his employer and head of IT.
