Bedroom battle

From the rendering-utterly-speechless section of the Khaleej Times, Dubai General prosecution is investigating a case of alleged adultery and counter-adultery between Emirati businessman Rashid M and his wife:

"The wife had travelled to visit her family outside Dubai and spent two days with them. When she returned to her villa in the Al Yanabee area in Dubai she heard voices in her bedroom; she opened the door and was shocked to see her husband making love to his Moroccan secretary. She did not take any action as the Moroccan woman ran away and her husband put on his clothes. Instead she called her Pakistani driver to her bedroom and asked him to strip and forced him to make love to her. In the middle of the session she called her husband to come up to the bedroom.

"The husband was ostensibly reviled and physically assaulted the wife and attempted to kill the driver who fled from the scene. Now both husband and wife have filed complaints against each other and asked the general prosecution to prove who has been wronged."

Sound like a scene made for Dallas (oops, I'm aging myself!) First the newspapers then the TV... Lets see if DTV will stoop to this level as it would make for a great evening soap.

Hurricane_ - I had to remove your post - it was funny, but given recent events I need to err on the side of caution and sensitivity a bit more. Here's an edited version:

There was a young lady of Sharjah,
Whose family was exceedingly prop-pah.
She went to Dubai,
To the disco (with guys!?!)
And now she's cut off by her papa!

There is a young lady from Dubai,
Whose life is frenetic - she flies!
She tears down the street,
In her Beamer (in heat!),
But her daddy pays off all her fines.

Erm... no disrespect intended to the fabric of society, and all that. ;->

making love?
Is it just me, or does that sound totally absurd?

breastimplants, 'making love' sounds descriptive enough for me. What's your objection to the phrase?

was it not KT-speak enough? would you have prefer "invigoratingly violating the fabric surrounding her modesty"?

Making love in this scenario is not descriptive, it just sounds silly and totally inappropriate?
It's a cheesy and antiquated phrase anyway.
Why not sexual intercourse?
I think that would've served the purpose.

I'm not feeling you. Making love is more inclusive than sexual intercourse, depending on what it is you are into or like to do. I'm sure however for the aggrieved wife it all meant the same thing at that moment and she was unable to tell if there was penetration of body parts or otherwise. If however, you are speaking to the vulgarity of adultery, then making love is not appropriate, and it was just plain fucking.

i don't mean to offend anyone...but is there someone here who is moroccan or who knows any moroccan women?

i heard that moroccan women are really pretty, but can be quite odd.

Relax...
If I think the phrase "making love" is cheesy and antiquated, that's my opinion.
I wasn't forcing it down your throat.
Why people pick on the irrelevant bits of an argument instead of focusing on the real issue, completely eludes me.
If however, you are speaking to the vulgarity of adultery, then making love is not appropriate, and it was just plain fucking.
This I agree with, and yes that was my point. Thanks for saying it so "eloquently".
Though you have to remember, it'd do us well to keep these discussions PG-rated.
Wouldn't want to corrupt young minds, would we?

Moroccan women have a horrible rep in the UAE, known as hookers, situation in morocco is bad, they use sex to get out, naiive khalijis (Gulfies) buy into it.

Breastimplants, I'm "cool". I was just responding to your:

"Is it just me, or does that sound totally absurd?" about the term.

And no you weren't forcing it down my throat, though the double entendre wasn't lost on me in the context of this subject.

I'm much more worried about the censors objection to political content than my choice of a four letter word, though I'll try to 'keep it down' in the future, if you will? ;)

Ah, wonderful, the Gulf stereotypes regarding other people's women.

Since I live in Morocco at present (and have also lived in the Mashreq), some words then:
(i) Yes, the Khalij / Gulf knows Moroccan women by the poor bastards who try to escape poverty via prostitution.
(ii) Also the Khalijis come here, and as in Lebanon, act like sub-human animals. [Not all to be sure, but an important number do]
(iii) Morocco, as a mixed culture, has less tribalistic hang ups than the East about intermarriage and the like. Indeed, the concept of people having tribal affiliations and the like strike urban Moroccans as laughably weird.
(iv) As in the case of any place, judging "the women" in general by the category who are desperate enough to sell sex for money etc (and not without reason given poverty here), is going to give you an odd idea about "the women" in general.
(v) In general the Mashreqin have some whacked out and frankly stupid stereotypes about the Maghreb.

Above commented deleted because although it was funny, the last thing I need right now is referrals for those words. There are enough people coming here searching "dubai girls" and "massage parlours" (check sitemeter) - visitors googling those other things are really not desireable.

Lived in Dubai for almost 3 years, and met many morrocans....not even one who is not "playing around" for money...the truth must be said...maybe de decent ones are still in Morroco...the ones in the gulf are a shame for any women..and yes, they are gorgeous...and according to gulf men they are easy and know how to do the job...they have a price, and they have the money...nothing wrong with that...man would not search for prostitutes if prostitutes wouldn't be available there...must remind that, morrocans are not the only nationality with this "prestige" in Dubai...Russians and Lebanese are at the same level...the difference is that gulf men end up marrying morrocans more than any other nationlity, and making them second, third, or forth wives...never heard a case where they were the first...not that it doesn't exist... I just never heard it...
