Good things come in threes
Congrats to a very special spring baby - a newborn camel in RAK:
Three-headed camel born in UAE

DUBAI, 1 April (Reuters) - A three-headed camel born in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the emirates making up the United Arab Emirates, has been described as a "miracle" by its owner.
The camel, a female named Thalatha, the Arabic for three, was born two weeks ago on a farm near the village of Khatt.
Owner Saeed Hassan is charging AED5 (approx USD1.25) to people wanting to see the animal.
Local veterinarian Khalid Al Muntaqa has examined the unusual calf and says it is good health.
"Each head is fully functional, this is unusual for these rare animals do not usually survive," he said.
South African expatriate Sally Koenke drove from Dubai with her family to see the three-headed calf.
"It's amazing, we've read of these things happening elsewhere but never in the UAE, it was well worth the trip," she said.
But some visitors were disappointed, including Bangladeshi labourer Shamsil.
"They told us it had three sets of sensitive parts. But it has three heads, what is the use of that?"

Reminds me of the three eyed fish in The Simpsons.
Mutants are invading the sandlands. Oh the horror!

Hahahahaha, Bangladeshi nationals are never going to live this down.
The more the merrier, what can I say?
*I wish I had an appropriate pun, but I'm laughing too hard to think*
Three "sensitive parts". That can't be what he said, could it? The perv!
Oh wait.. haha the jokes on me. I was wondering why you didn't post a link to the article like you usually do. And that pic is so bad.
Secret: I take it you are a fan of Photoshop?

I rather think I like it more than it likes me...
Among the partially-sighted (or perhaps outright blind) that pic could have been quite convincing, surely?!
Even though the physics of the situation require that the abomination topple over due to the imbalance of weight ;-)

Such a party pooper.
Shame on you.
Observe the date.
Nah, just thought it was too early in the morning for the exposé.
Oh well.
RAK's very own camel freakshow, whats next -one might wonder :)
what's with bangladeshis and genitals' obsession? wasn't it a bangladeshi who raped the camel? nasty. these deprived labourer's are getting a little freaky, i tell u.
I think Keefieboy & myself (so far) are the only ones who picked up on the date..............but well done on the pic!
Hillarious!
but.. dont u think some1 could take offence? (a pinch of racism ?)
Nice pic SD. happy april 1st.
The guy on the radio said there would be snow showers this afternoon.....what a lame attempt at April fools. Yours was way better.
the radio! ppl have been reporting false traffic jams.
I encountered one total traffic jam lasting me 4 hours straight this morning. where is the joke? Or was that me perched on Garhoud Bridge wondering if I would ever reach the other side?
@SD
You'll be glad to know that I "fooled" 2 people today by linking to your blog. :-D
Jin,
Not being a child...
BUT I KNEW ALL ALONG.
Hence the exposé comment.
So there.
*sticks tongue out at everyone else*
as soon as I saw no 'link' like she religiously does otherwise
But there is a link to an *extremely convincing* photo of the camel... ;)
Nice attempt at April Fools, but I've already been on so many online April Fools pranks that I can't be fooled any more.

you got gulfnewsed!
Bloggers in the UAE also fell for an April Fool's Day hoax that reported a three-headed camel in Ras Al Khaimah, with the report purporting to come from a news agency.
The report said the camel's owner was charging Dh5 per head for witnessing the freak dromedary. While some were thrilled to see the camel, another felt the animal did not live up to his expectations.
Yep...GN reads your blog everyday!
breast implants. Apologies: The huge time difference between the western USA and the Arabian penninsula made it so that I had absolutely NO mental connection to the date. Sorry to be such a pooper
i have three heads im not funny
