Whipping up some fun in Al Ain

There has always been a rumoured seedy side to the lush green oasis town of Al Ain. Rumours of wife-swapping parties among bored western expats. Rustlings in the palm trees for illicit liaisons at the dead of night.

And now this latest sexy sting:

AL AIN — The Commercial and Economic Activities Department (CEAD) at the Al Ain Department of Municipalities and Agriculture, Al Ain Municipality, has seized sex products being sold in a shopping mall here.

The items were seized during inspection raids by the CEAD team. Omer El Dheib, an inspector at the CEAD, said the seized items included sex creams, pornographic pictures, and whips among other items.

Never mind. There should still be plenty of camel whips on sale.

Well its about time!

Hehe. I bet the seized items are Lingerie adds, promoting a new string design or something, while the Sex products are no more then a tidy booster and a Porte-Jarretelles!

I must say SD, you really get excited whenever you see things to do with sex aids.

Look, I dont know who you are; but I have a feeling you are a middle aged western women. As a result you should be fairly "exotic" material over here. I also assume you will have a wallet on you, atleast compared to the masses anyway.

You should have no problem having a string of toyboys queing to befriend you, and service you.

By the way in your case you are a lady, so there is no need for the dependency relationships between middle aged expats, and their dusky ladies. You dont need to treat your toyboys, they can even treat you.

You'll be their bit of exotic, and they'll be your bit of rough.

There is really no need to suffer, there are plenty of young bucks willing to take your bait.

Please practise safe sex.

Anonymous @ 13:50, sounds like you're a chick with a chip on her shoulder.

Instead of attacking this poster & its owner, how about letting us have your input on local gangbangers, swing-sessions etc.

This blog does not belong to you or me. The owner has the right to post whatever he or she chooses and that includes whips, enhancement pills, pumps and BDSM jingles.

So, you know what if you're offended..well..tough!

I didn't know Al Ain had a...shopping mall.

nick,

bahahaha.. they have something that looks more like a food court with a few scattered shops there. Hardly a shopping mall if you ask me.

Sex creams? Like oils maybe? Or KY?

It just sounds like they have very little to do in Al Ain (big surprise there!).

Hope it was whipped cream!

Great blog.

bet some undercover agents all purchased items of interest first and then decided to deprive the rest of the al ain community...

maybe it's the CEADs plan to attract new recruits!

In today's news a man accused of raping a 12 yr old was acquited by none other than the dubai court of appeal - reason - lack of corraborative evidence - the man confessed to having sex with the child but denied rape so they let him go.

WTF? who do they put as judges there? 'ello ever heard of sex with a minor ?

Are cucumbers and bananas banned in the UAE?

Capn Bananas- Islamic law is not very specific on sex with a minor. Girls as young as 12 do get married in some parts of the islamic world even today.

A senior member of the Iranian christian minority who converted to Islam was recently awarded the highest civilian honour by President Ahmedinjad. The Cleric who converted in the early 1990s was known for ridiculing the Anglican Church and the Archbishop of Canterbury in a number of critcal articles distributed throughout Iran. Ann Widdecombe a prominent Labour MP said in a statment today "this new move by the government of Iran" is clearly a clear sign of hostile intent and is an insult to the Church of England'.

In the meantime gangs of skinheads in cities across Britain have begun to demonstrate against the award and disturbances have been reported in Frankfurt in Iranian owned Kebab shops normally favoured by lager louts after a night out. Christian Mengle- leader of the Germany Freedom Party declared in defiance "this award justifies us burning down any Iranian kebab shops we want to" and did not rule out the justification of suicide attacks on other Iranian owned business.

Anonymous, do you know thae case of the chiropractor Saukkonen raping a patient? The police did nothing, and there is that poor thing still knocking at doors...Well, they may dress police members with that sexy lingerie from Al Ain, they are against women, obviously.

"Look, I dont know who you are; but I have a feeling you are a middle aged western women. As a result you should be fairly "exotic" material over here"
Don't be silly, Anonymous, do you think that middle aged western women think only about masturbation??? Are you from Dubai police department?

Guys, there is a catch here.. with the male to female ratio in UAE, ladies won't need a spiritless toy to pleasure them, they just need to reach out!!!

So logical conclusion is that those toys confiscated were "to be used by men only". That would be interesting if CAED would auction those products and see who comes to buy them!!

I dont get this: At Al Ghurair city there is a sex shop. They sell lingerie, lubricants, etc. Maybe sex toys, but I didnt go in. My wife did, and said the costumes were pretty good.

Here is my question: Are sex toys ILLEGAL in Dubai? Where in Sharia or the Holy Koran does it say: Thou shalt not wear a cock ring?

Nobody had the guts to answer to this? Where are our experts???
There is a response to basically any potential question in regards to Islam on the web and personally I would conclude that Islam is a lot more liberal when it comes to “birds and bees” practices, than Christianity. (contraceptives, fellatio, masturbation, right to female satisfaction, etc.) However please don’t forget that cultural traditional aspects play a major role in this region and that Islam is often misconstrued to match their local customs. One of the best examples is the constant misuse of Sharia jurisdiction in Dubai. (with the convenient usage of Egyptian judges to make sure it works smoothly)
Actually when it comes to what is ILLEGAL in Dubai, it seems to be a “vastly flexible concept”, not depending on some serious implementation, but mainly on arbitrariness. Honestly speaking the situation is so contradictory that nobody really knows what is applicable and what is not. If tourists would have to sign a legal document, which clearly points out everything that is illegal in the UAE, nobody would ever consider a holiday in this country. While for instance Saudi clearly points out even on the visa form, what is illegal and other nations will tell you about the “do and don’t” on the aircraft, while descending to the designation, the visitor or expat to the UAE is at free will to how the authorities feel. SD and other UAE bloggers point out some of the ridiculous cases to us, but there are numerous tragic stories of how even Western visitors were abused at pure despotism in the UAE. (not to mention all those uncountable victims that are having a passport from a developing nation) If you are working for a big international corporation (preferably oil & gas), you do not need to worry, because material interest will always guide the selection process. Otherwise be careful, since even the privacy of your home will not stop them from prosecuting you.
